It has a weight limit that works for my husband, too.BETTER QUALITY THAN EXPECTEDBoth chairs broke where the arms connect to the back. This part comes pre-assembled so there’s no way to fix it as it’s just glued together. These are also narrow and not comfortable at all. Maybe if you have a cushion on the back, but it hurts your back really bad to lean back on.Putting together this chair took a little longer than I wanted and the use of wood screws right into wood means you have to walk that fine line between as tight as possible without stripping. Once together though the chair looks good and is sturdy enough that it will last. There is a bit of creak in the vertical slats but nothing worrying. The chair is comfortable however I have a moment every time when I sit in it where I feel like I'm going to tip backwards. This seems to be due to the chair being a bit biased toward leaning back farther and I do like that aspect of it. This particular one doesn't have a bulletproof looking finish so it's not something I'd leave in an uncovered area. It's more of a stain with a light coat on top. I'll also mention that at 5'11" I think the arm rests are designed for someone a little shorter as they are a bit below where my arms would naturally bend.i love it - this is exactly what i needed for my porch. it goes well with my other wooden furniture, honestly it almost looks like it was part of the set. it's a little large, like large enough that it could be adorable for kids photos. it's solid AND it can be outside! i've had it outside under my covered patio for a few months now and there is zero degradation, not even fading on the coloring. it's smooth to the rocking, and also the touch (no splinters). the only issue (not even caring) is that the plugs for the screw holes to cover the visible screw didn't really make it. they started out ok, then i found them all over the porch, so i gave them up. i am super happy with this addition ... i love rocking chairs and i super thrilled to have one outside too.Let me start by addressing why I gave this chair 4-stars, because I ordered white and they sent black. The black is more expensive than the white, but all the furniture on our porch is white. After I opened the box and saw the black I decided to go ahead and keep it and I am glad I did. I still looks great on the porch and is really sturdy. It took about 30 minutes to assemble and is solid as a rock. I am 6'2", about 240, and it fits me great! Very comfortable. Well worth the money. Quality chair and very handsome.This rocking chair comes unassembled and it took my husband a few hours to put it together. It looks very nice and I feel safe on it, like it won't go back too far. My only criticisms are that at 5'4", my legs rub on the edge of the seat and get scratched. I have fixed this concern by ordering cushions for the rocking chair. My other concern is that I think it needs a finish such as Watco oil. It looks unfinished to me.
