I've had this chair for about six months. I bought it heavily discounted and I'm glad I did because this is certainly not a $600 chair as its priced today. The good thing about the chairs is that it has tons of adjustable features from arm bars, height, etc... The bad thing about the chair is that the seat is too firm and if you sit on it for many hours a day like I do your butt will literally go numb after a while (it happened to me). The other problem with the seat cushion is that its so stiff that your leg bones will start to hurt on the area that sits on the edge of the sit. This is because the sit is super rigid and gravity is pulling your leg against this rigid chair. The other complaint I have is that there is very little to no lumbar support. There are no adjustments for for lumbar so if you're like me and have lower back problems this chair might not be for you. Now, I've been pretty hard on the chair but if you use it intermittently through the day this might be a great chair. The issues I have are the result of having an office job and require me to be at my desk 8+ hours a day. A minor compliant that I have is that the wheels get stuck in the carpet and won't roll. I got a floor mat for the carpet and it broke. Once the chair sits on a spot for a while its very difficult to roll the chair. A good quality chair can be very expensive in price going well over $1000. Since I don't have that kind of money sitting around for a chair I got a nice seat cushion (don't cheap out on this) and some xl casters. I also got foot cushions to elevate my feet and prevent the leg pain around the edge of the chair. With the add ons the chair is bearable but down the line I plan on purchasing a high end chair so I can use it was it was intended.Overall, this chair is pretty good and I like it. Great build quality. Visually appealing. Affordable price. A few things I might want to change (more below).I spent a while looking for a good desk chair to use at home, reading up on reviews and doing, for my standards, a whole lot of research. And always, the best ergonomic chairs I read about online are herman miller, steelcase, humanscale, etc. Chairs (unused/new) from any of these brands will cost $500 - $1,000 and maybe more if you want all the options (adjustable armrests will cost you extra on many of those brands, for example. I mean, seriously?).So I kept going back to amazon, on which there are a ton of cheaper options with great reviews (and free prime shipping), but some of the popular ones just didn't have the looks and in some cases, had seemingly poor build quality. I eventually saw this by some chance and it was around $250. It looks so great and reviews were good (plus, lifetime warranty!) so I got it. I had an IKEA chair before that, so obviously this was a great replacement. I do want to mention though, that for work I use a fully loaded herman miller aeron chair, but I actually don't think that chair is all that comfortable. It's highly adjustable and has lumbar support...but still, not amazingly comfortable. There are a couple of negatives I want to list here. The reclining back is a little stiff (with no tension adjustment option), so sometimes it's not easy to recline unless you consciously do it. This makes me slouch in my seat sometimes which is pretty bad for posture (maybe this is only a problem for me). The armrests are adjustable in height, angle, and backwards/forwards (not outwards/inwards). That's all great, however, the backwards/forwards adjustment is not locked, so you might accidentally push them inadvertently during daily use. I'm worried that over time, they might become loose and just slide all over the place. At which point...I may look into the warranty and ask for replacements...All in all, this is a great chair for the price. Having used an aeron chair for many years, I can't say the it is visibly better than this HON chair to me in any particular way to justify it costing 4x more.Just got the chair, here are my first impressions.Super easy to put together, didn't have to mount the base to the seat, came pre-mounted, super solid, heavy, love it. My 2 year old helped, no joke, it was that easy. The back is nice, it isn't hard, it has some give, no issuesThe seat cushion is firm but not hard, it doesn't hurt, I saw someone else say that, go ride a bike for a few hours and this chair will be your best friend.Controls are good, people who complain about the arm rests being too lose or sliding around must not have received the same versions that I did. These arm rests are super solid, and actually a bit hard to adjust out and in. The up and down is tight, the side to side is tight, the front to back is tight. They don't lock except for up and down, but they are so tight that moving them around isn't going to happen on accident. To me, this is a non-issue.(EDIT: They do slide forward and back rather easily and I have now found myself sliding them back when I stand up, I just put them all the way back and they are fine, I may put a small wedge into them to just keep them still)The chair is tall, much taller than my old char, actually a bit too tall for my old desk, the arms still fit under but the seat height is high and I'm now looking down on my monitors, luckily I got a custom desk from Ikea today with adjustable height on it so again a non-issue for me but you may want to look out, if your monitors height adjust then it would be fine, but mine are big and do not, so I would have to put something under them which would be ugly. All in all, great chair, it isn't an Aeron or a Teknion Contessa (my favorite and the chair I have at work), but it's way better than all the other "office" or "manager" chairs I have tried.I gave it 5 stars because it's way better than a lot of junk out there with 4, but in the real world it's a 4 and all that other junk is a 2 or 3.Amazon shipped this and when it arrived it looked like it went through a war zone. The packaging inside was a mess and shocking for a chair this expensive. The bottom of the chair had a huge crack in it and Amazon wanted me to ship it back despite the box being torn apart. I decided to keep with a credit that was offered but this was a disappointing purchase and I would caution anyone buying a chair though amazon. The chair is overall good quality but I find it lacks lower back support and I have back pain after a couple of hours. I wish I purchased another chair.I didn't find this chair comfortable at all, even with a separately added memory foam cushion. Couldn't get the back angled upright enough for decent posture and the arms are set at an odd angle. I can't imagine this would be be comfortable unless you are only using it for 45 minutes to an hour at a time. One of the plastic pieces underneath the chair arrived broken, though I assume that was due to the rough delivery rather than the product itself.Après deux mois, malheureusement l'accoudoir droit est brisé. D'où pourrais-je l'acheter svp pour le réparer ?
