As with any ready to assemble product, these rockers get assembled with wood screws with allen heads. That’s fine for the frame of the chair but frustrating when it’s time to install the seat.But here’s where the manufacturer falls short. The screws for the seat are not long enough to grab enough wood to fully tighten. You’re better off drilling out the pre-drilled holes and through bolt the seats on. That’s what I’ll eventually do.The longer screws for the rocker frame are sufficient in length but the pre-drilled holes are oversized just enough that about half of the screws don’t bite into the wood to make a strong connection. Eventually they just spin out and won’t tighten up. At some point I’ll have to take them out, plug the holes with dowels and re-drill them.Other than that, they look great. Would I pay over $600 again for 4 rockers from the same manufacturer? Highly unlikely.I love this chair and it looks great on my front porch..I do want to mention that the chair is black and the screws are silver. There are no covers for the screws. I have contacted the manufacturer and they said it did not come with screw covers because the chair is woodI would recommend spray painting the screws black to give the chair a finished look.That is the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five.Well built and beautifulThese are garbage. The bolts strip easily the moment even a small amount of pressure is applied with the hex wrench. The small bolts for the seat bottom do not secure it correctly to the frame. The bolts are on the outside of the frame and are gold and no bolt cover caps are provided so it doesn’t blend in with the black wood. Tried to initiate a return. The label said postage required and the return address is international—Vietnam to be exact, so more expensive to ship back than just keep and try to sell on Facebook Marketplace. These also are not from the Sophia and William Brand but instead Phi Villa. They also do not smoothly rock and instead feel like you’re on a really rocky uneven surface.The paint job was not as good as I’d thought it should be for furniture outside.These are beautiful chairs, very comfortable and sturdy. Excellent choice for outdoor porch.These look great, were easy to assemble and we recommend them!
